redesign me
What would happen if an individual (rather than an organisation or a product or a process ) asked to be redesigned, rebranded and relaunched? Obviously surgery and education will do this already, but what if I walked into an agency and contracted them to do so? I am interested to hear this communities thoughts. What are the possibilities? Or is this a stupid idea?

There is something in it ...
I think 'rebranding people' is a great idea. I believe that, in a way, some of us do that naturally to others anyway. Personally, I've been rebranding & redesigning my boyfriends for years. But I do like the idea of paying a professional agency to do the job.

more human than human
which agencies would be up for the job? Or do we need to start one specializing in this. what would we call it?

Celebutards
It strikes me that the rebranding of people happens all of the time in the world of celebrities. Posh Spice rebranded as VictoriaBeckham, Madonna rebrands herself three times every decade (she currently seems to be at the 'Embarrasing Mum In The Disco' stage. And of course The Artist formally known as the Prince/Prince/§ is the original evolutionary brand human.
PR agencies do this kind of thing all the time. There's always going to be another Jade Goody to be repackaged in time for the Christmas autobigraphy market.
As for agencies, I suspect Wolff Ollins might be lining themselves up for this kind of work. Or is that a bit below the belt?

nexus one
The celebs point is a good one. KISS rebranded themselves too, took off the makeup, it was a disaster!
I'm interested in the exercise of rebranding people like ourselves. I do'nt really want to be famous, just really good at what I do. A combination of CBT and the modern design aesthetic is what I'm thinking . ' Queer eye for the straight guy ' meets Peter Saville meets industrial psychology. We are all capable of doing this ourselves, but I feel it would be a fun exercise to hand over the reins.
Or is this happening to us already? Government stealth campaigns, corporate marketing etc...

The Brand You®
This is not a stupid idea at all and is not just for the rich and famous. The image you portray is very important, and don’t be afraid to have a different image/brand according to your target audience.
I attended a very interesting seminar on "How to create a brand called you" by Yvonne Fuchs. See: http://www.thebrandingworkshop.com
