Travel_tools_icons-thumb

So TfL launch a bunch of useful looking travel tools, some of which are intended for downloading to use on mobile phones. The icons look suspiciously like iPhone buttons, but I can't see iPhone in the list of compliant phones. Shame on you TfL. See the list: www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/m... read more

N96-1-thumb

The "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" of mobile phones, for Nokia's N96. Lots of linking seamless video - feels akin to the interface of film DVD with menus moving you from scene to scene. Its well done and edited to move with you as you explore the phones features. Nice change - but lacks con... read more

I was sent this link by a friend a while ago after discussing those moments when you can start with an idea that is so fundamentally wrong, you might just end up with something that is brilliantly right. Quite how someone with the spare time, a bike and a gps device can decide to cycle 67km an... read more

Orange_1-thumb

Another really impressive project from those guys at Poke. Yes the Unlimited Orange page really is seemingly unlimited. It scrolls forever. Ross Phillips nominated this at the Designs of the Year exhibition currently at the Design Museum. I can see why. Read some more comments at http://www... read more

Iphone_interface-thumb

OK, somebody had to post it, so it may as well be me, as I've been happily using a grey import for the past few weeks, lucky me. :-) I'm not going to go into any kind of review of all the good bits, bad bits, or missing bits of functionality. There are plenty of other places to read those kin... read more

Jump_sml_-thumb

This Installation piece really made me sick. Digit took their brief from the fantastic best picture facility on the new phone. The installation used the actual phone to select the preferred image from the multiple displays on the booth and then have it printed out and sent to their own phone........ read more

Memoryscape-thumb

Similar to what I am working on in Banff, except we use GPS to trigger the content. We also go beyond audio to incorporate still image, animation, and screen based interactivity. MemoryScape brings location specific audio to physical space. "Using rare recordings from the Museum in Docklands ar... read more

Ookl-thumb

It's a project enabling kids to create multimedia projects using camera phones. Basically they loan the phones and host the images - sounds simple, but the enthusiasm and creativity it's unleashing is very inspiring - it's revitalising tired teachers, too! read more
