  • A really lovely website, fun to play with, looks really good and is nicely restrained. You learn about the product through little interactive games, that are actually quite good, most of them are twists on classics (like pong for example).

A perfect example of a mini site which feels like its part of a bigger brand yet at the same time it has a personality and style of its own.

We'd like you to rate a project for success in three different areas. Tick looks good if it is aesthetically pleasing, and tick works well if it is technically innovative. Most importantly tick performs effectively if you think it meets all of its professional objectives.

Obviously we don't really expect to see any work submitted that is no good, but you never know.

    Target market?

I don't know enough about Mercedes to know who the target market for the C Class is? Do they like playing with what amount to digital versions of what used to be known as 'executive toys'?

I'm glad they resisted making the balls 'chrome' in the Newton's Cradle section, or maybe the dynamic ray-tracing demanded for the reflectivity would be beyond Flash?

OK, sorry, it is fun, and is nicely done, but will it sell cars? Or does it not matter if it doesn't?

    Target market

Fair cop gov. I have to admit that after using this site i didn't run to my nearest Mecedes dealer and pick up a couple of automobiles. In fact I don't think that this will sell any Mercedes, because this is a designer site for designers. And as everyone knows, there's no money in design.

Looks: good. Performs: not so good.
