Ookl-medium

It's a project enabling kids to create multimedia projects using camera phones. Basically they loan the phones and host the images - sounds simple, but the enthusiasm and creativity it's unleashing is very inspiring - it's revitalising tired teachers, too!

We'd like you to rate a project for success in three different areas. Tick looks good if it is aesthetically pleasing, and tick works well if it is technically innovative. Most importantly tick performs effectively if you think it meets all of its professional objectives.

Obviously we don't really expect to see any work submitted that is no good, but you never know.

digital democracy - power pics to the people

this is living digital proof that putting the tools of creativity, composition and publishing into the hands of everyone who has a positive voice and a passion to communicate can never be a bad thing.

since when was photography just for photographers. since when was an idea or an opinion the preserve of the adult, and so-called educated world?

the passion, expression, and yes sometimes the 'naivety' of the images and image descriptions on this site is just fantastic and truly inspiring.

aggreNation

yes man. this project seems super powerful. we are just getting involved in a partnership with Learning through the Arts. They would like to focus on locative content creation for their students. Basically students will use our platform to create media within our specifications to play at different locations.

ookl is better in my mind as it simply gives the tool already built into the phone and lets perspectives show without any techie knowhow.

but the real power comes in the aggregation of all the data which, when viewed as a whole is very powerful.
