Saatchi Gallery
I'm sure that this site has raised a few eyebrows in the art world!
This new site for the Saatchi Gallery, and it is really breaking new ground. The site is designed with an intentionally low-fi, 'porn site' aesthetic, complete with flashing links, bad typography and text boxes in the shape of speech bubbles.
This is the first reputable, world-class art gallery that has truly embraced web2.0 culture. This website is set-up to work a bit like a cross between of Ebay and Myspace for artists.
Along with the expected bits (about, contact, news etc), the site has an online sale room where anyone can sell work, and a free-for-all gallery space where anyone can up-load and exhibit their work, and even a portfolio room for students!
I believe the concept of the site can be attributed to Charles Saatchi himself. Although, sadly I can't find out who designed the site. Does anyone else know?

I know what I like
At first I was struggling to find much value in the way this site looks or performs. But then I found myself immersed in reading an illuminating interview with Charles Saatchi, so what do I know?
